True to his word (and if you don’t know what any of this is about then you might want to start by reading that link) that he’d reveal the @newlywedsontjob prank today we finally received an email from AnonBestman this morning after a few days of assuming that this tweet meant he’d been rumbled and that he’d subsequently been beaten to death and left in a ditch.

Here’s the full email conversation, you might want to make sure you’re sitting down though…

What happened! Where’s everything gone? Why was their weight so low? You can’t leave people hanging like this, we need closure! Don’t make me start emailing you every two minutes. Even if you just let me know that you’re not in trouble/beaten to a pulp that would be a start.

Holy shit, that’s crazy – so if she’s nine weeks then it would have been after the prank started?

Yeh exactly. Its onething to have a joke on him and but i’m not sure howhe’d react if I told him that I’d made it so twenty odd thousandpeople could watch him make a baby :)

Hahahahahaha, that’s brilliant. It’s the first Twitter baby. Do you think you could get her to tweet the labour? Have you tried to work out which “job” it was?

I’ve just realised as well (bit slow this morning) is that why they’ve been gaining weight? Is nine weeks long enough to put weight on? I assumed it was just a bit of wedding cake weight.

Assoon as I realised I took the sensor off, its been a laugh but theres no way Im ever going to tell him, he’d definitely kill me! Thelads who helped will keep it secret and Im just goingto let it go now.

Not sure aboutthe weight – he’s always been a fat git but she does looka  bit bigger might justbe because I know she’s pregnant tho.

Better get back to work anyway.

No worries, man that’s hilarious. Well, thanks. It’s kept us laughing for the last couple of months.

Are you ok if I post this conversation? Any chance you can tweet it when it’s up, your followers should know what happened. If you tweet it I’ll send you some money to buy a new keyboard :)

I’m on a stupid work phone andthe keypads broken. Will tweet it and thatll be the lastone but i’ll leave the account upfor a bit.

And that’s the last we’ve heard. So the world’s greatest stag-do prank ends with the world’s first tweeted conception. We can sell that to the News of the World right?

Hahaha that’s brilliant. I started following a week or so after the first story broke.

Very glad you guys partnered with the prankster– we would have never gotten this side of the story otherwise!

  2. Sam Clarke says:

I’m absolutely staggered, one of the best pranks I’ve seen that couldn’t go through! Although I completely respect him for not letting on… Fair play chap, definitely worth a beer or two!

  3. LadyTweet says:

oh man, it didn’t even occur to me that they were gaining weight. how wonderful though! i was worried after that last job started; i texted my friend “either twitter is broken or they’ve been on the job for 12 hours!”

  4. Michael says:

This started as a hilarious prank but has become a part of history–as irreverent and silly as it may be.

I’m proud of AnonBestMan, and hopefully some day he’ll feel safe enough to tell the groom. In a few years, he will probably be able to laugh it off.

    I’d wait, though.

    A lot.

  5. LisaB2B says:

Too funny! Seems to me they didn’t do it enough to get preggers, but I guess it only takes one time.
I still think he should tell.

  6. Zac says:

I knew it! I did notice the weight kept going up and wondered if she had gotten pregnant. The question is how many times did they do it in other rooms where it wouldn’t tweet. There is no way to prove we got the conception on twitter, but it’s still hilarious!

  7. KellyC says:

LAME ending. its the last time I’ll fall for following such a prank when it cannot be executed properly.

  8. Rea says:

Course we have no idea if they just had sex on that bed… they could have had a lot more sex elsewhere in their home… which means the conception would not have been tweeted. I mostly say this to point out to those who think they didn’t have enough sex… that we have no idea how much sex they had just how much they had in that bed.

  9. Jimbosaurus says:

So… did anyone else read “end of the day I DEFINITELY cant tellhim now. [sic]” and think ‘Oh, God. He’s going to tell us his mate was on a business trip during a bunch of these, or something horrible like that…’?

Glad to see it’s a happy ending, at least!

  10. BlankJebus says:

haha, i was wondering why they were at it for a good 12 hours or so, i was starting to get worried. Funny prank, been following since the 3rd job, and it’s been a riot ever since. Thank you for the laughs and I wish the happy couple luck with their lives and with their unborn baby.

  11. Kyle Chandler says:

that’s so lame! there’s no point in pranking someone if you’re not gonna let them in on it. it’s funny to rig a bed to tweet whenever a couple has sex on it so long as you let the prankee in on the joke eventually. otherwise it’s just gross. what a complete waste of time.

  12. TELL THEM! says:

Seriously, man up and TELL THEM!

  13. Numpty says:

Ouch. Married AND pregnant in the space of three months. Poor bugger.

  14. RJFerret says:

I couldn’t resist, here’s the data of their in bed exploits graphed on a Google spreadsheet:

It amazed me how close the time of day and frenzy matched (except for a couple instances).

  15. Hahaha, you Sir/Madam are a statto of the first water and we at Staggered salute you – I may be being stupid but what do you mean about the time and the frenzy?

  16. RJFerret says:

@Andrew Shanahan, ah sorry, the green and red lines generally parallel each other on that graph. IE, when a “session” was later in the day, the frenzy was usually greater while earlier action was milder! There are only a couple times at the beginning and in the middle where that’s not the case.

The vast majority of the time, the later it was, the more frenzied the action!

  17. Many thanks – I see what you mean now. That’s strange isn’t it – there’s a PhD in this newlywedsontjob business…

  19. pamela says:

aww man! I missed the grand finale… then I looked at the last one and I was like wow.. someone’s put on some weight!

  20. Baswell says:

We’ll never know if the conception’s been tweeted; they certainly weren’t doing it enough for newlyweds. I reckon the dirty buggers had a fair few untweeted dirty weekends away as well as kitchen bench and dark alleyway quickies in between the tweeted ones!

  21. Richard says:

Well that was a total waste of time and such a let down. I checked back just in cast he told and yet nothing. If your going to do something and get half the world involved, follow through and do what you planed to do. I stuck with this even though it was stupid just to see the ending and maybe even get some video of his response but no we got nothing. You are a disappointment to everyone.

  22. OMG, happy guys :D

  23. Jane says:

    Keep us posted!

  24. Howard Keele says:

Absolutely crazy, what a hilarious prank! Nice job AnonBestman. Those have been following this phenomenon since the launch must have had constant entertainment for quite a while. Everyday there’s new mentions on twitter. [Howard, I've allowed your spiel about Keele and S-O-T to live on in other comments but I'm pruning it here, great to have you commenting but try and keep the promotion to a dull roar puh-lease.
